He appeared in 1954 with the genres of folk, jazz and blues as clear influences. Few years after its origin, the so-called rock & roll, became a mass phenomenon for rebels young who don´t got carried away by popular music, more commercial.

The main instruments used to interpret rock music are the guitar, the main protagonist of this genre and generally electric, battery, very important in the rhythm section, addition to a low. Often this genre used complement instruments like synthesizers and piano.

Since the debut of the Rolling Stones in the sixties to the Muse today, the rock is as alive as ever, but genres like punk, metal or death have little or nothing to do with the rock & roll dancing in the sixties, but keep alive the hipster essence and fighting spirit that has characterized it since its appearance.
